Able’s Front Porch tries to answer one question:

Where does a special needs person go after aging out of the system at 21?

We are a 501(c)3 created in 2017 as a “place where young adults and adults with physical and mental challenges from birth can meet new friends and learn new skills.”

Able’s Front Porch provides individuals with intellectual, mental, and physical special needs and their families enriching, safe, interactive activities, events, and educational opportunities.

We want to provide life skills and promote independence. We do this through a variety of classes, including social ones, and taking excursions. Providing real experiences and stimuli results in more learning and growing. Community integration, social enterprise, and healthy living for all adults are major initiatives for Able’s Front Porch.

Able’s Front Porch currently operates a Day Facility and supports a Sports Team.

The Day Facility, Able’s Front Porch Day Center, provides structured outings, learning opportunities, activities, and trips to movies, zoos, museums, and parks to enrich lives and to give an opportunity to interact with the community. Currently, First United Methodist Church in Kennedale, Tx has generously provided Dover Hall for us to use.

The Sports Team, Kennedale Coyotes, practices weekly through the various sport’s seasons and meet at varying locations in and around south Arlington and Kennedale. This provides a chance to participate in healthy exercise with friends. We participate in some of the Area and State Special Olympic events as well.

At Able’s Front Porch, the most important person is your family members, our clients. For us, they are family too. Keeping them safe, happy, and enjoying their days is our pride and joy.

Come and check us out any time. Give us a call and we will meet you where we are, whether it be out on the town or at our center, playing games and learning new thing. Check us out. You’ll be glad you did.

See our Contact page for our Mailing address and Day Center Address.
